The Alligator Sanctuary is a reptile rescue facility that is open to the public. Home to hundreds of reptiles, the Alligator Sanctuary provides for these animals for the rest of their lives.
The alligators come to us as pet turn ins. Some arrive as captures working with animal control officials to rescue and save those turned loose by previous owners. Other sources can include other institutions, donations and adoptions.
Our work includes working with schools and universities with educational programs and internships and providing education opportunities for school children during trips and special events.
Special events include the opportunity to participate in the Spring Release where the animals are moved from their winter home to the exhibit areas. You can also enjoy an
